Monaco

Taking the bus to Menton, and passing through Monaco en route, it was hard not to notice, that 1 centimeter into the Principality, the Mediterranean view was blocked by highrises -- the only place on the Côte d'Azur that happens.

Also, virtually every town along the Côte d'Azur had been inhabited and/or painted by Matisse, Picasso, Renoir, etc. -except Monaco. So, having been there once, wasn't in a big hurry to go again, but darn, the #100 bus made it easy. So, one afternoon found me climbing the hill to the Palace and taking the bus over to the Casino. Felt kind of naked without a Rolex and LV bag :s
