Oh Canada!

SeaTac is a much nicer place to spend those pre-flight post-security hours since the Pacific Marketplace got built. It almost looks like a "normal" garden cafe... until you see the Hawaiian Air tails outside.

After a short flight to Calgary and the Banff Airporter two hours north, I arrived at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel (below). Check in took a couple moments; the explanation and diagram of my room location took considerably longer. I later found out there are 1200 staff here. Luckily, one of them found me lost in the byzantine labyrinth that is this 100-plus year old hotel, took my bag up and down four sets of intermediary levels and pointed me in the right direction.
