Superstitions, a little too up close and personal

"Very superstitious, nothin' more to say"*

One of the "easiest" walks in the Easy Day Hikes book takes me to Lost Dutchman State Park, at the foot of the Superstition Mountains. I guess because of rain runoff, it's a lush area as I start walking on the Treasure loop. In fact, I am so busy admiring the vistas, I hardly notice as the path starts increasing in grade and rockiness until I am well and truly committed. Nothing like a sketch to provide an excuse to suck some air.

At the place where I think I finally get to go across the saddle, the trail signpost is lying on the ground, pointing in meaningless directions. Sigh. Luckily, my instincts are correct and I am on the so-called trail, now just the runoff pathway. I only fall once scrambling back down
